I watched this fight the other night and I loved it. Couture walked right through James Tony. James Tony is some big shot boxer who thought he could just walk into the UFC world and take out Randy Couture. I love how he talked all kinds of trash and was just destroyed in the first round. A boxer can not come into the MMA world with just his boxing tools. Like Couture said, boxing is only a small portion of what they do. Once Couture shot under Tony the fight was over. Tony had no idea what to do and had no ground game. The only things he knows how to do is stand up and box. He doesn't know how to wrestle, how to submit, or how to even throw a decent kick. This fight was pleasing for me because I hate hearing boxers run their mouth saying they can knock out anyone in the UFC. Sure if a fighter played the boxing game he would loose. In the UFC arena you have more to work with and the boxer is only used to fighting a boxing match. Anyways the argument is over now. One of the greatest boxers to ever exist just stepped into the ring with one of the greatest MMA fighters to ever exist and embarrassed himself. Tony did say he would come back thought. His next fight in the UFC should be interesting since he will have more time to work on things besides boxing. In my opinion boxing is a great sport, but it just does not compare to MMA.
